i'm sure everyone has seen the commercials advertising pharmaceuticals: "a clinical research study shows that this drug is preferred 5 to 1"...blah blah blah. well, i'm here to announce the truth: NEVER TRUST CLINICAL RESEARCH STUDIES.

yesterday, i decided to be in one. a headache trial medicine study is being tested and i went to the research offices to participate. wellllllllllll, apparently these particular people have been hired to conduct the study by the producers of the medicine, and the margin of potential patients (in which to test) is very small: lots of guidelines and specifics. it's been hard finding patients who qualify.

soooooooooo, i noticed that when i answered a question with a non-qualifying answer, the doctor would ask me again.

DOC: "how many severe headaches do you have a month?"  

ME: "8."

DOC: "hmmmm...how many severe headaches do you have a month?"

ME: "errr............ummmmmmmmmmm......5. yes that's right, 5."

DOC: "excellent"

This is the way it was folks. quite entertaining for me, but medical research is ALL A BUNCH OF FRAUD!!!

ello ello xanganites. my cousin just called and told me she was praying for me about a certain situation and it made my day.

yes, this IS the best day of 2006 b/c LOST premieres tonight and i will hopefully get some quesions answered. (along with more questions formed)

caffiene is not good for me. my hands are shaking.

i think i've decided that i want to be a therapist. in the end. not now, but definitely later in life, after a few more years of wisdom have been gained:)

i wish i had a lot to report but it seems that life is really dull right now. i think god is trying to teach me to be content in it all, and it's a rough lesson.

Chicago was chinormous.  wait, that was stupid.  but of course, it could be chinormous, you don't really know.  you haven't been there.  when i was there.  with the peeps that were there with me. 

Highlights of the trip:  (names changed to protect the innocent)

Banana and Hottest Chick Evah pretending to be enlightened by contemporary art displays such as flourescent hot pink bulbs lined across a room. 

Banana, H.C.E. and Crisco making puppets make out in a children's museum gift shop.  "tat's tunny, ti ton't tare too too tar"

Going to Starbucks like 5,000 times.  (we drove about 45 min. out of our way to find one in memphis)  while we sipped lattes, we met a girl and guy auditioning for American Idol.  They tried to get Sayid to try out since they caught him dancing. 

Eating filet mignon at the #1 steakhouse in the U.S. (from 2003).

wo. it's been awhile. if anyone still cares i have gone on a beach vacation and accomplished much more on my house since last posting. the inside of my house is feeling very italian. lots of fun.

i took don juan to the vet this morning to get his blasted little claws plucked out one by one...hopefully with no anesthesia b/c he has runied my brand new leather couch!!!!! there's still much love though. which reminds me of the sourpatch kids commercials. anybody seen them? ...where the little gummy cuts off the girl's hair and she gets really mad...then he comes and hugs her and she forgives him b/c he's so cute. "first they're sour, then they're sweet."

get to go to a formal this weekend. yesss!! prom for grown ups. watch out cuz i will be looking seeeexxxayyy!!!
